Welcome to YogaSparks Practice!

Hi, I'm Sue Fichter, C-IAYT.

I offer yoga therapy, an individualized yoga practice for all aspects of your life.   I specialize in helping teens, adults, and caregivers learn ways to help ease the discomfort in their physical body or emotional health.

Therapeutic Yoga invites you to apply yoga for quality of life through movement, explore breathing techniques, and experience self-awareness using yoga principles.  Together, we will create best practices for your overall well-being. In our yoga therapy sessions,  we can explore habits you wish to change or create, daily intake, personal and repetitive movement, and mindfulness practices to best fit your individual needs.

Here's a few examples of how yoga therapy can support you:

  • Bringing breath awareness and yoga movement into your daily routine can help to relieve stress, manage/overcome anxiety and guide us as our lives evolve.
  • Finding growth through the grief process to heal inner pain.
  • Using micro-movement to ease discomfort from physical pain.
  • Ease symptoms of autoimmune conditions.

What can you expect in a yoga therapy session?

  • Each session is 75 minutes and begins with a review of your week, where you are in your journey, to understand current health, interests, and concerns.  Our sessions will include an exploration of breathing, movement, balance, strength, inner strength and flexibility to create an individualized yoga practice, you can do at home that will help you achieve your personal goals.  As we continue with our sessions, your yoga practice will evolve as you discover what works for you.  After personal reflection on what you experience during your session,  I may suggest reading resources, such as yoga philosophy or other related materials to help you continue your practice at home.

 I am an E-RYT500 certified yoga teacher and C-IAYT yoga therapist with over 12 years of trained certification and experience in the study and practice of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga.   I enjoy my own personal yoga practice, group classes,  private sessions and CEU training.    My teaching style includes an emphasis on  yoga movement, meditation, relaxation, anatomy, and physiology.
